Clean-up Campaign
As student leaders, we understand that our greatest job here on earth is stewardship and one of the best way to be good stewards is to take care of one of the best gifts God has given us- our environment! Our love for our environment extends way beyond our intellectuals, to acting upon what we see. This is what drove the academy to take part in a Clean-Up campaign on the 6th of March. Despite the threats of COVID-19, the city campus students had to go out and be a blessing by cleaning up the area in and around the Academy premises and Good Hope Shopping Centre. It was eventful indeed, investing more in our knowledge on what is recyclable and what is not. We set out on a cause, early morning, and as soon as we left the campus premises, our endeavor had begun. We picked up, while fully equipped, every single piece of dirt we could identify in the area.
Our campaign stretched out to cover an area as large as 200 square metres per student. We set out, some as individuals, and some as teams under the authority of local police and healthcare workers. The expression we had there was love, and only love. It is this zeal that drove us and we never back down from it. The day was all about taking care of what is around us and, as the norm, we ended it with some pictures. Not forgetting the dental education from our nearest dentist.
