In February 2019, STAR Leadership Academy opened in Zimbabwe with two campuses, SLA: City Campus in Harare and SLA: Farm Campus in Marondera. The SLA year is spilt into two semesters – one spent at the City Campus and the other spent at the Farm Campus.

SLA: City Campus

Located in Zimbabwe’s sunny capital Harare, our SLA City Campus houses up to 40 students and is the site of the intellectual development track of the program. Our curriculum exposes students to a variety of courses such as Governance, Artificial Intelligence and Leadership Training.

Prominent guest lecturers will shed light on important social, political and economic issues throughout the semester. Through trips to institutions like the Parliament of Zimbabwe and African Development Bank, conversations with vibrant thought leaders such as Professor Emmanuel Akyeampong, and other interactive learning experiences, students will engage in a myriad of activities to develop their critical thinking skills and leadership qualities.

SLA: Farm Campus

Situated in 62.5kms outside Harare in Marondera our SLA Farm Campus provides an experiential learning environment for young leaders. Our program is specially crafted to develop imaginative leaders by also providing an environment which fosters innovation and creativity.

Throughout the program students will learn elements of crop farming, animal husbandry, dairy farming, agribusiness and social entrepreneurship, combining both theory and a practical learning at an active farm. In addition to the agricultural courses, students will also partake in Design Thinking and develop their own projects and innovations.
